The customer is a global provider of engineered electronics for performance critical applications, headquartered in the UK. The TFE 943 will be used in their resistor production line. "We went through a thorough selection procedure with demo runs and an accurate analysis of the TFE technical capabilities as well as quality control, after sales support and financial status check. We faced a severe competition from the incumbent supplier but at the end we were able to prove the superior performance of our tool and organization. In general the TFE Remanufactured Batch tools represent a cost effective solution for many applications in R&D and production. The original MRC or TFE 900 series tools are stripped down to frame and then fully remanufactured. The software is always upgraded to the latest revision developed by TFE and, in addition, TFE introduce some tool features that are unique in this market. In particular the Horizontal Batch tools give the benefit of a very easy placement of any substrate type and shape. Different shape and size substrates can be deposited in the same process run." said Dr Francesco Terenziani, president of TFE. Thin Film Equipment, a leading supplier of new and remanufactured PVD systems, is proud to announce the sale of a TFE refurbished Eclipse Sputtering System to a large R&D and production institute in China. The customer is one of the most advanced research centers in China for wide band gap power devices.

The Eclipse will be initially used in the silicon carbide department for the development of next generation devices and subsequently moved to a new production line for SiC based products.

TFE is pleased to announce the signature of an agreement with AMSystems for the exclusive distribution of AMS sputtering and trimming equipment in all Europe with the exclusion of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

The agreement has become effective on the 1st of December 2016.
This agreement allows TFE to complete its product offer for the MEMS market with the addition of world class tools for BAW/SAW/FBAR/piezo-MEMS applications.
